Media Conference On Latest COVID-19 Situation

71.3 percent of the country's population have received 3 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Meanwhile, 101 first doses of the vaccine were given to children aged 5 to 11 and 60.9 percent second dose vaccinations were given to this aged group. This was stated by the Minister of Health at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation yesterday afternoon at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar also stated that 1 COVID-19 case has passed away, in which the case is not categorised as death due to COVID-19.

 

Meanwhile, 399 new cases were reported, of which 394 cases were results from ARTs conducted and 5 cases were from 269 RT-PCR laboratory tests. Therefore, the total number of cases reported in Brunei Darussalam to date is 151,560. There are 3 cases in Category 4. 226 cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 148,610. The total number of active cases are 2,726, in which 12 cases are currently treated in hospitals, whereas 2,714 cases are on home self-isolation.
