The State Mufti Department is commemorating its 60 years of establishment. Speaking at the launching of the 'Raja Menjiwai "Selawat Senegara" and 'Isu-Isu Kewangan Dua' books yesterday morning, the State Mufti also shared that 60 years is not a short time, and many incidents had happened that tested the perseverance of the State Mufti Department. Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned said among the major challenges include elevating the field of fatwa in the country through its management, aside from excelling in the field of general publication apart from fatwa until now. The ceremony was held at the State Mufti Department.

The 'Raja Menjiwai "Selawat Senegara" book focused on the benefits of Selawat At-Tafrijiyyah, while the 'Isu-Isu Kewangan Dua' book discussed on issues and solutions to financial management and handling in Islam. The function coincided with the presentation of book endowment to 6 libraties. Also present was Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji  Japar bin Haji Mat Dain @ Maidin, Deputy State Mufti.
