The Brunei National Climate Change Policy, BNCCP highlights key mitigation strategies for Brunei as it takes its steps towards decarbonisation and emissions reduction. Successful execution of these strategies will deliver a cumulative reduction of 15.5 percent of emissions.

 

This was stated by Doctor Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, Permanent Secretary for Planning, Land Use and Environment at the Ministry of Development as Co-Chair of the Working Committee for Brunei MYCE 2022 for Climate Change Week yesterday morning. The event followed by keynote presentations from His Excellency Yutaka Shoda, Vice Minister of Environment, Japan and Doctor Beni Suryadi, Manager at ASEAN Centre for Energy.

 

Among those present was Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Deputy Minister, Department of Energy at the Prime Minister's Office. Meanwhile, exhibition booths focuses on theme of Climate Action Week, which is Towards a Low Carbon and Climate-Resilient Brunei Darussalam.
