KINABATANGAN

The body of a crocodile attack victim was found yesterday by a search and rescue team.

Norana Alan, a 22-year-old Filipina, was attacked by a crocodile when picking palm oil fruits at Ladang Genting Mewah near Kinabatangan River around 8.30am on Saturday.

Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Department head Rantey Fred said the victim’s body was found around 2.30am near the spot where she was attacked by the reptile.

“The victim’s body was still complete and there were no scars.

“However, the Kinabatangan Hospital confirmed there were wounds on the victim’s hand and back which were caused by the crocodile attack,” he said.
