The adoption and transformation of digitalisation in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs is important to make MSMEs more resilient in facing the challenges of COVID-19. The Director of Industry and Business Ecosystem Division, Ministry of Finance and Economy stated the matter at the the 9th BIMP-EAGA Small and Medium Enterprises Development Working Group, SMED WG Meeting, held in a hotel in the capital.

 

According to Awang Allen On, the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the global supply chains and needs for the BIMP-EAGA members to intensify its overall economic integration efforts and cooperation among the members. The meeting was attended by representatives from SMED Focal Agencies of the BIMP-EAGA member countries, BIMP-EAGA Facilitation Centre, BIMP-FC and BIMP-EAGA Business Council, BEBC. The meeting among others discussed the new projects on BIMP-EAGA Mission on Innovation and SMEs Start-ups with Korea.
