MANILA

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has resumed his presidential activities following his week-long mandatory isolation after testing positive for Covid-19.

In a Facebook post, Marcos shared photos of his meeting with Ambassador Manuel Antonio Teehankee and administered his oath in Malacañang.

Teehankee, who paid a courtesy call to the President on Friday, July 15, is the Philippine Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

According to President Marcos, Teehankee reported about the recent 12th WTO Ministerial Conference in Geneva, Switzerland, from June 12 to 17.

Also present during the event were Executive Secretary Victor Rodriguez, Special Assistant to the President Secretary Antonio Lagdameo Jr., and Presidential Management Staff Secretary Naida Angping.

Marcos’ meeting with Teehankee was the President’s first public appearance after he caught Covid-19 for the second time last week.

Despite getting sick with the disease during the first week of his presidency, Marcos continued work and even presided over Cabinet meetings via teleconferencing.

Meanwhile, Ilocos Norte First District Representative Sandro Marcos documented the President’s first day back in his office and posted a photo of the Chief Executive on his Facebook post.

The Presidential Son wrote the hashtag “Proud Son” on his post next to an emoji of the Philippine Flag and his father’s initials “PBBM.”
