An individual was issued a $300 compound fine for an offence under the Miscellaneous Offences Act, Chapter 30, namely throwing rubbish at the entrance of Meragang Beach.

Alim Hossain was given 7 days to settle the compound fine. Failure to do so, the individual will be taken to court. If found guilty, the defendant will be fined not less than $1,000 and not exceeding $3,000 for the first offence and for second or subsequent offences will be fined not less than $3,000.
