Healing Trend Continues, Samarinda and Kotim Descend To Yellow Zone SAMARINDA, KN – The trend of recovering Covid-19 cases in East Kalimantan continues, for three consecutive days reaching 110 cases.

Referring to data from the East Kalimantan COVID-19 Handling Task Force, as of Monday (29/8/2022), it was stated that there were 46 additional recovered cases.

Two days earlier, on Saturday and Sunday, data on recovered cases also increased, with a total of 64 cases.

Another good news is that Samarinda and East Kutai, which were previously orange, have dropped to yellow. Five other regions followed, namely West Kutai, Kutai Kartanegara, Paser, Berau and Mahakam Hulu. Meanwhile, the two areas with red zone status are Balikpapan and Bontang.

Although there was a decrease in the zone in the two regions, there were still 21 additional positive cases.

"There are still additional positive cases of Covid-19 in East Kalimantan, indicating that the virus still exists," said Spokesperson for the East Kalimantan Covid-19 Handling Task Force, Andi Muhammad Ishak.

The public is advised to maintain health protocols by wearing masks while on the move to avoid exposure to the Covid-19 virus. (gie/her/yans/adpimprovkaltim)
