On April 2, the SPD revised its plans and increased its Holy Week personnel to 3,868 or 89.23 percent of the total 4,335 to ensure peace and order, and the safety of the public and tourists from April 2 to 9.

The SPD covers seven areas in Metro Manila: Muntinlupa, Taguig, Pateros, Pasay, Makati, Paranaque and Las Piñas. It will deploy 307 police officers to secure 82 places of worship in the seven areas.

A total of 151 SPD personnel will man 19 major thoroughfares under its jurisdiction including the Nichols Interchange to ensure the smooth flow of traffic. In addition, 173 policemen have been stationed at 28 transport hubs and terminals.

A total of 1,229 police officers have been deployed to places of convergence including malls under the SPD area.

Nine one-stop-shop help desks in the SPD are being manned by 46 personnel to give police assistance and immediately act on any security concerns during the Holy Week.

During the Holy Week, there will be 142 checkpoints, 610 mobile patrols, 133 fixed visibility points and deployment of 883 SPD personnel who will conduct beat patrols.

SPD director Brig. Gen. John Kraft urged the public to be on guard and report any suspicious activity to the SPD hotline numbers  09985987920 or 09173661036.
