People are only just realising that Walkers crisps packet all have a feature on them, but it's something you've probably never realised as you'll be too busy focusing on the savoury snack

Crisps are one of those snacks that once you start eating, it's really difficult to stop. They're delicious, come in a variety of flavours, and almost everybody adores them. But there's one strange feature on crisp packets that people are only just noticing - and it's got people miffed.

If Walkers are your brand of choice and you've ever stopped munching your way through some and taken the time to analyse the packet, you might have noticed a similarity on the back of all the packs. Which is that all of their crisps go out of date on a Saturday.

Yes, really.

There's even an old Facebook page dedicated to it - named 'All crisps go out of date on a Saturday, FACT'.

People have been so baffled by it, that the answer has been listed on the Walkers 'Frequently Asked Questions' section of the website.

But unfortunately for those who are curious, the real reason behind the expiry date is pretty mundane.

"Please also be aware, every single packet of Walker's crisps go out of date on Saturdays," one Reddit user revealed on a Casual UK post.

Someone checked and confirmed that it was the case, commenting: "Just checked all crisps in my house, can confirm all expire on a Saturday. WTF?"

Walkers explained: "In the manufacturing sites we work on production weeks which start on a Sunday.

"All products produced in that week will have the same Best Before date.

"As the week ends on the Saturday, the Best Before date will always end on a Saturday."

People have also recently been equally baffled by the real meaning behind the LG logo, which depicts a smiley face - but if you look closer, it's more than that.

They've also been left aghast at what 'ASOS' means, with many thinking it was just a random bunch of letters.
