His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam presented Land Grants under the Temporary Occupation Licence Scheme for Brunei Muara District and Temburong District, as well as House Keys, Apartment Units and Land Lots under the National Housing Schemes for the Brunei Muara District. The presentation ceremony took place at BRIDEX Hall, Jerudong.

Upon arrival, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was greeted by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development; and Awang Misle bin Haji Abdul Karim, Brunei Muara District Officer.

The recital of Surah Al-Fatihah was led by Pengiran Doctor Haji Badaruddin bin Pengiran Abdul Rahman, Syariah Subordinate Court Judge.

In his welcoming remarks, the Brunei Muara District Officer said the presentation of house keys and land grants brings a brighter outlook in life as well as more comfortable housing for the recipients.

His Majesty then presented the Land Grants under the Temporary Occupation Licence Scheme for Brunei Muara District and Temburong District, as well as House Keys, Apartment Units and Land Lots under the National Housing Schemes for Brunei Muara District to 626 recipients. From the figure, 218 recipients were awarded Land Grants under the Temporary Occupation Licence Scheme, of which 183 recipients are from the Brunei Muara District and 35 others from Temburong District.

Meanwhile, 408 recipients received house keys and land lots under the National Housing Scheme. Of the total, 270 recipients were allotted apartment units; one received a basic-type house; four were awarded semi-detached houses; 176 were allotted terrace houses; and 7 received land lots.

Doa Selamat was read by the Syariah Subordinate Court Judge.
