When it comes to household chores, it's safe to say that not many people enjoy washing the dishes, so having a dishwasher can be a luxury appliance. Although it can cause arguments over how to correctly place the dirty dishes, who is loading them and who is unloading them, it arguably saves a lot of time and effort.
But have you ever wondered what actually happens inside the dishwasher and how it cleans the dishes? A video has surfaced about what really goes on inside, and it's left people feeling triggered. The posted by Warped Perception on TikTok takes you inside a dishwasher along with the dirty plates and cutlery, filming it on a GoPro.
Treating viewers to a sped-up hour of the washing cycle, it shows the stages that happen during the wash - but people are put off by what they saw. Seeing the water spraying up and down as well as the tablet being released - it's interesting nonetheless but has people questioning it.
Not happy with the use of the dishwashers loading, many people were quick to comment about the amount of food left over on the plates, as well as how little was stacked up inside it as one user commented: "Am I the only one triggered that there is food on the plate or have I been using my dishwasher wrong?" Asked similarly by another TikToker who said: "Does nobody else scrape their dishes before putting them in the dishwasher???"
Whereas others were trigged with the amount of water it uses, as one person highlighted: "And they want to tell me that hand washing dishes wastes more water than a dishwasher?!" And another hand-washer wrote: "Scrubbing these plates would've taken five minutes and way less water."
It is advised that you should scrape the food off your plates before loading it into the dishwasher, to prevent food getting stuck in the mechanisms. But are you a team hand washer or a team dishwasher?
