The Lao PDR will host the 27th Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers, related meetings and the 42nd ASEAN Tourism Expo in Vientiane between Jan 22-27, 2024.

The Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, in particular, has made a comprehensive preparation for the event, particularly the hosting ASEAN Tourism Expo, the Director of Tourism Promotion Department, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of Laos, Mr Khom Duanchantha told journalists last week.

 At the 27th Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers, there will be ASEAN Tourism Expo, which will be held at the Lao-ITECC in Vientiane. It is expected to draw more than 300-350 booths to display and sell at the event.

ASEAN Tourism Expo a key platform for tourism buyers and sellers from around the world thus providing a golden opportunity for Lao tourism entrepreneurs to have a direct access to target tourism markets and secure tourism deals.

Mr Khom said that the ASEAN Tourism Expo will be a good opportunity for Lao tour companies to access the direct market, met the ASEAN and international tourism business operators.

Currently, the ATF website has been opened, where delegates interested in participating in the ASEAN Tourism Expo can access information and register through the website.
