In his titah, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam among others stresses three matters, namely the requirement of psychology in teaching and the teaching workforce, for the subject of 'Faraid' to be review so that children will like the subject and selection criteria on sending students abroad to be re-evaluated.
During the unscheduled visit to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, 27th September morning, His Majesty visited the departments and sections under the ministry.
Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs.
Doa Selamat was read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti. This was followed by a welcoming remarks by the Minister of Religious Affairs.
Among the focus of His Majesty's visit was the Department of Zakat, Waqaf and Baitulmal Affairs.
As the leader of religious services, the Ministry of Religious Affairs is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating programmes and activities for the benefit of Islam in the country.
