Two law enforcement operations under Operasi Kabat of the Department of Immigration and National Registration 2024 targeted several locations in the country.

In Mukim Kilanas, three foreigners were arrested for committing an offence under Regulation 15(2) of the Immigration Regulation Chapter 17, which is working not with the original employer; and Regulation 15(3) of the Immigration Regulation Chapter 17 which is working not according to the position listed in the passport. Meanwhile in Mukim Kuala Belait, two foreigners were arrested for committing the offence of working not with their original employer. Meanwhile, another person is believed to have committed an offence under Regulation 35(1), Immigration Regulation Chapter 17 which is hiring workers without the knowledge of the original employer.
