When your flight lands, it always takes forever to file off the plane.

And one woman was in no mood to wait – so she opened the emergency exit door and jumped out.

Needless to say, her fellow passengers on the United Airlines flight from New Orleans to Houston were shocked as she took her leap of faith.

The woman survived the huge fall but had to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

She was not charged with any crime.

Passenger Hampton Friedman told CNN: ‘I realised when the door popped open and a woman stepped out of it.’

The aircraft had just landed at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston when the woman decided she had enough.
