His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam have consented to send a message of condolences to His Excellency Tun Dato Laila Utama Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Abdul Taib bin Mahmud, Governor of Sarawak following the passing of Yang Amat Berhormat Tan Sri Dr. Datuk Patinggi Haji Adenan bin Haji Satem, Chief Minister of Sarawak recently.

In the message to His Excellency Tun Dato Laila Utama Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Abdul Taib bin Mahmud, His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri expressed their sadness upon learning of the passing of Yang Amat Berhormat Tan Sri Dr. Datuk Patinggi Haji Adenan, who will always be remembered as a close friend who contributed in deepening the personal ties and close relations between Brunei Darussalam and the State of Sarawak. In ending the message, His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri conveyed their deepest sympathies to His Excellency and family, the Government and the people of Sarawak especially to the family of the late Yang Amat Berhormat Tan Sri Dr. Datuk Patinggi Haji Adenan, and may Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala bless his soul and receive him among His most loved ones.
