Body modification artists are used to pushing the boundaries, but Torz Reynolds may have gone further than most.

The 30-year-old from Essex chopped off her finger with bolt cutters last week detailing the countdown to her thousands of followers on Facebook.

Why? We hear you ask. Well, it’s for no better reason then she thought it would ‘look good’.

And the body piercer seems impressed with the results, posting this week that the wound was ‘healing so well and totally love it.’

If she looks familiar it’s because it’s not the first time Torz has hit the headlines, having previously sliced off a tattoo with a scalpel and sent it to her ex-boyfriend.

Unsurprisingly, not everyone has reacted to the finger severing with excitement and some have questioned whether the event actually took place.

But the pictures do look real (and gruesome) enough and she is adamant that it did take place.

On one post, she explained:  ‘I do these things for myself. It’s not hurting ANYBODY else.

‘I chose to document them on Facebook because I want to share the experience with my friends.’
