SMLK Feted Outstanding Students to Award Ceremony

KG LAMBAK KIRI, BRUNEI-MUARA

 

Outstanding Lambak Kiri Secondary School (SMLK) students who excelled in last year's GCE 'O' Level and IGCSE examinations were awarded recently.

 

Among the award recipients were students who scored nine 'O' Levels; eight 'O' Levels; five 'O' levels and above, most progressive students, Top 3 students, overall best students and special awards.

 

Present as chief guest to handover the prizes was the Head of Academic Unit of the Department of Schools at the Ministry of Education, Dayang Hajah Lena binti Haji Hassan.

 

Awards were also presented to teachers and departments that had achieved the GCE 'O' level target and showed marked improvement and development in percentage credit for last year's GCE 'O' level exam compared to 2014.

 

For instance, the Malay Education Department recorded an achievement of 64.2 per cent compared to the aspirated target of 60 per cent, while the History Department scored 36.4 per cent compared to the targeted 28 per cent.
