JALAN PASAR BARU, GADONG

The Centre for Promotion of Knowledge and Languages at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) yesterday hosted a special lecture on Malay Islamic Monarchy (MIB) at its auditorium.

Headlined 'Producing an Astute Generation through MIB Education,' the lecture was delivered by Deputy Minister of Education Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar.

The MIB course is one of the compulsory classes at UNISSA, with the objective of providing a sound understanding and appreciation among students of MIB as the Sultanate's guiding philosophy.

While delivering the talk, the deputy minister urged the youths of today to be more independent and resourceful, in order to help the country achieve the Brunei Vision 2035.

Among those present were Dr. Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, the Rector of UNISSA; Dr. Haji Mohammed Hussain bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Ahmad, the Deputy Rector; and Dr. Salah Sebouai, the Director of the Centre for the Promotion of Knowledge and Languages.
