A 60-year-old man was injured after he was allegedly kicked by another motorcyclist in the Gurney Drive area here on Sunday (Feb 18).

Timur Laut district police chief ACP Anuar Omar said the incident occurred about 3 pm when the senior citizen was on his way home from a  mosque.

“The man was riding his motorcycle when another motorcyclist overtook him and then kicked him, causing the victim to fall.

“He was sent to Penang Hospital and was warded for several injuries on the body and also chest pain,” he said, adding that the victim's son lodged a police report on the incident to day.

Anuar said a recording on the incident had gone viral on the social media and the police had detected the woman who recorded the incident.

The police would call her to record her statement and also track down the suspect, he said.

He also urged those with information on the incident to contact the police. - Bernama
