If the Boat Race isn’t your cup of tea, then feast your eyes on the next best thing.
The ninth annual Oxford v Cambridge goat race took place today, as two of the world’s leading universities battled it out on the Thames.
The event saw two pygmy goats, one representing Cambridge, another Oxford, race around Spitalfields City Farm in east London.
The two competitors locked horns at the starting line as their adoring fans gathered nearby to cheer on.
This year, in the human races, Cambridge stormed to victory in the men’s and women’s races, but for the goats, the exact opposite was true.
Hamish trotted to victory in front of the assembled crowd.
Unfortunately for Hugo, he was left trailing behind his rival.
An on-site bookie was even taking bets for those feeling lucky.
