The Department of Co-curriculum Education, Ministry of Education (MoE) through the Tutong District Branch hosted the 27th annual Ayat-Ayat Lazim Memorisation Competition for primary schools in Tutong District yesterday, which was held at the Perpindahan Kampong Bukit Beruang II Primary School.

 

According to a press release, present as the guest of honour was Awang Omar Ali bin Haji Mohd Tahir, Educations officer / Cluster 5 Officer at the Department of Schools, MoE.

 

Ten schools took part in the competition with a total of 20 contestants.

 

The main objective of the competition was to nurture, appreciate and increase the understanding of the holy Al-Quran, as well as to help students hone their skills while developing their love towards the Al-Quran.
