UNISSA Held a Closing Ceremony for Fire Marshal Course

Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif All (UNISSA) through its Student Affairs Section in cooperation with Public Relations Division of the Fire and Rescue Department recently held a closing ceremony for a Fire Marshal course.
The ceremony took place at the Headquarters of the Fire and Rescue Department, and saw participants of the course presented with certificates of appreciation.
Attending as the guest of honour at the event was Haji Ahmad bin Haji Daud, the Head of Public Relations, Fire and Rescue Department, who presented the participants with their certificates.
The course itself took place over three days from May 23-25, involving 18 participants comprising four officers, two support staff and 12 students of UNISSA.
In a press release, UNISSA shared that a number of activities were carried out during the course, including learning how to help victims in a fire situation, an action plan for dealing with emergencies, building evacuation procedures, going into a smokehouse as well as an introduction to fire prevention tools and how to use them.
The press release explains that the course equipped the participants with the ability to act quickly in providing assistance in the event of any emergency or fire before the arrival of Fire and Rescue personnel.
It also highlighted that the course would establish the identity of all the participants to be more disciplined, to help one another and to be tolerant in a team.
Also present at the closing ceremony in addition to the participants was Rozita binti Haji Kamis, Fire Marshal Course Coordinator; Ustaz Supri bin Haji Sudin, the Dean of Students Affairs at UNISSA as well as the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs, officers and staff of the Public Relations Division of the Department of Fire and Rescue.
