Mitsubishi Galant to Make a Comeback after 15 Years

Since the Mitsubishi Galant was introduced in the Brunei market, it became a number one favourite model in the Sultanate and had profound success in the market 15 years ago. Now, the Galant is making a comeback with the new hatchback model under the name of Galant Sportback.
In ushering this comeback, local Mitsubishi authorised dealer GHK Motors Sdn Bhd is running a promotion for the Mitsubishi Galant Sportback 2.4 as part of its August promotion, where purchases of the model made from August 1 until August 31, 2016 entitles the customer to a free shopping voucher.
This was disclosed at a press conference held at the GHK Motors conference room in Beribi, where the company's General Manager (Sales Division), Au Thien Kiong and Marketing Executive Dayang Nur Izzah Nazihah binti Haji Kamsani was on hand to attend to the local media representatives.
Should customers wish to decline the voucher offer, they can use the voucher amount as a discount price from the on the road price of the Galant Sportsback, said Au Thien Kiong.
In keeping with its sports orientaton, the Galant Sportback features 18-inch eight-spoke alloy wheels, Ralliart style front grille, side skirts with rear spoiler and sports front seats, reverse camera, voice activated Bluetooth with audio streaming, climate-control air-conditioning, smart key and a 6.1-inch full colour touch screen with iPod compatibility.
These features come in as standard, with the highlight being the dusk-sensing lamps and rain- sensing wipers. When put on auto mode, the dusk-sensing lamps will illuminate when it is dark and the wipers automatically switch on when rain drops on to the windscreen.
Housing a 2.4 litre MIVEC engine, this sporty Mitsubishi Galant GSR delivers a power output of 125kW (168hp) and 266Nm of torque, making it one of the best non-turbo naturally aspirated models around. It also features a CVT transmission with steering wheel paddle shifts.
Mitsubishi's innovative Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution (RISE) body offers the cabin a strong protection in the event of an accident, and on top of that, the electronic safety features includes seven Airbag Systems including airbag for driver's knee, active stability control, traction control, anti- lock braking system and electronic brake distribution with brake assist technology.
The Seatbelts are have pre-tensioners and force limiters on front, along with child restraint anchorage point and two ISOFIX child eat anchor points in the rear.
