The Law Enforcement Division, Royal Customs and Excise Department RCED has carried out three operations namely at Kampung Saba Tengah area; at the boat landing area, Temburong District and on the waters of Sungai Teritip.

The Royal Customs and Excise Department in a press release informed, that during the first operation carried out on the 28th of March 2022 in Kampung Saba Tengah in Kampung Ayer, the RCED has detained an Indonesian woman and a local man aged 35 and 52 respectively. 12 cartons and 431 packets of cigarettes of various brands were also seized.

The second operation carried out on the 29th of March 2022 saw the arrest of a 31-year-old local man and seizure of 960 cans of alcoholic drinks of various brands, 1 packet and 11 sticks of cigarettes as well as a car used to unload and transport the contraband. The detainee worked as a security guard at one of the security guard companies.

Meanwhile during the third operation carried out on the 30th March 2022 on the waters of Sungai Teritip, 624 cans and 72 bottles of alcoholic drinks of various brands, ONE package containing health products without a permit and a boat were seized. All the contraband were seized and all the individuals involved were brought to the Law Enforcement Office for further investigation.
