Media Conference On Latest COVID-19 Situation

​16 first doses of COVID-19 vaccine were given to children aged 5 to 11 on 3rd June, bringing total first dose vaccinations administered to 81.8 percent. Meanwhile, 71 second doses of the vaccine were administered to children in the same age group, taking total second dose administered to 53.4 percent. This was stated by the Minister of Health at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation yesterday afternoon at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar stated that 70.9 percent of the country's population have received 3 doses of the vaccine.

 

Meanwhile, 379 new cases have been reported. 377 were results from ARTs, and 2 cases were results of 223 RT-PCR lab tests. This brings total reported cases to 150,058. Two cases are in Category 4, while 242 cases have recovered, taking total recovered cases to 147,827. 2,008 cases remain active, in which eight are currently treated in hospitals, and 2,000 others are currently undergoing home self-isolation.
