Floods Still In 27 Provinces

BANGKOK

 

There is still flooding in 27 provinces, mainly in the Central Plains and the Northeast, and it is receding in most of these provinces, according to the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation.

 

The department reported on Tuesday that flooding in 27 provinces was affecting about 435,900 people in 135 districts. It was caused by past heavy rain in the upper part of the country and current persistent rain in the South.

 

Floodwater was receding in affected parts of Buri Ram, Chai Nat, Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Lop Buri, Maha Sarakham, Nakhon Nayok, Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Ratchasima, Nakhon Sawan, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Phichit, Phitsanulok, Prachin Buri, Roi Et, Saraburi, Si Sa Ket, Sing Buri, Suphan Buri, Surin, Trang, Ubon Ratchathani, Uthai Thani and Yasothon provinces.

 

Meanwhile, flood levels were unchanged in parts of Ang Thong and Ayutthaya provinces.
