Brunei UNIFIL Peacekeepers Receive Warm Welcome Home

A total of 29 Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel, led by Captain Haji Mohammad Faizi bin Haji Tarif, returned home after completing their deployment with the Malaysian Battalion 850-3 (MALBATT 850-3) of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). They were received yesterday in a ceremony at the Bolkiah Garrison.

 


On hand to welcome the returning personnel was Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the RBAF.

 


Also present were Datin Paduka Hajah Suriyah binti Haji Umar, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence; Service    Commanders;    Directors; Commandants; Senior Officers of the RBAF; and the family members of the returning personnel.

 


The RBAF UNIFIL contingent began their deployment on September 1, 2015.
