BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

Water is the most valuable source of life and life's necessity for all living things on earth. It is also the greatest blessing bestowed by Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala. Brunei Darussalam is very fortunate as it has been rewarded with sufficient and clean water source for the use of the people. The Friday Sermon highlighted the importance of water in life.

The Imam or Prayer Leader reminded all to use water wisely and not to waste it. The government has provided infrastructure and water facilities worth millions of dollar to clean, treat and supply water to homes and premises in the country. As consumers, we must be responsible and give our utmost cooperation in tackling the wastage of water. Muslim Scholars said that wasting water is prohibited although the water supply was abundant and easy to obtain. Islam strictly forbids the Ummah from wasting any resources, including water.
