A magnitude 3.3 earthquake occurred in Ranau, Sabah at 6.42pm yesterday.

The Malaysian Meteorology Department in a statement said the epicentre was 16km northwest of Ranau.

“Tremors were felt around Ranau and Kundasang,” it said.

The statement added that the department was closely monitoring the situation and would provide updates from time to time. — Bernama
