​A local man was sentenced by the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court for a charge under the Excise Order 2006.

38-year-old SOFIAN BIN BUJONG, was detained by the Law Enforcement Division, Royal Customs and Excise Department, Bandar Seri Begawan Branch at the Orbit Supermarket area in Kampung Salambigar. The accused pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a fine of $5,000 or five months imprisonment in default.

Meanwhile, all contraband including 13 units of vape of various brands, four bottles of vape juice and cash amounting $996 were seized.
