A business kiosk in Mukim Pekan Tutong was the target of Operasi Kabat conducted by the Department of Immigration and National Registration through the Law Enforcement Division, Bandar Seri Begawan.

During the inspection, a foreigner was detained and taken to the Law Enforcement Division for further investigation, for working using a visit pass.

Meanwhile, a Bangladeshi man was charged for an offence under the Immigration Act. Mohammad Omar Faruk, aged 30, was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment and 3 strokes of whipping for overstaying after his immigration pass had expired.
