Miles Teller—a self-proclaimed Deadhead—exclusively told E! News that his friends have offered him their Grateful Dead merch after he and wife Keleigh Teller lost their home in a L.A. wildfire.
Miles Teller's friends have got his back.
After his and wife Keleigh Sperry Teller's Los Angeles home burned down in a devastating wildfire, the Top Gun: Maverick star received an outpouring of support from his inner circle as the couple tries to rebuild their lives.
"Many people have reached out, just either letting us know that they're there emotionally or people are offering us their place," Miles exclusively told E! News in an interview airing Feb. 3. "I'm a Deadhead, and so I've had a lot of people reach out to Keleigh like, 'I want to send Miles a Grateful Dead shirt.'"
He continued, "Little stuff just means a lot, so it's been very heartwarming."
But for Keleigh, who Miles married in 2019, there was at least one irreplaceable item that was destroyed in the fire.
"I wish I grabbed my wedding dress," she wrote in a Jan. 9 Instagram post detailing her and Miles' evacuation, "wish I did a lot different but it doesn’t matter, stay safe, get out."
In the aftermath of the devastation, the model said their community "has come out stronger than I could imagine."
"We will come back stronger than ever," Keleigh added. "There are no words."
In the meantime, Miles and the 32-year-old are grateful to have survived. In fact, the harrowing experience have opened their eyes to each other's resilience.
"When everything goes and you have each other, it's very emotional," Miles told E! News, explaining that grief "comes in waves."
The Gorge actor continued, "You lose your home, you're part of a club nobody wants to be a part of."
While the disaster was "terrifying to see up close," Miles said he and Keleigh are taking it day by day.
"We know it's not an immediate sense of relief," he added. "And so, we're just there for one another."
That also includes his Gorge costar and longtime friend Anya Taylor-Joy, who offered a shoulder to lean on for Miles and Keleigh during the press tour for their upcoming movie, which premieres globally on Apple TV+ Feb. 14.
