City areas are synonymous with noise and crowds. However during Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, such areas experience less traffic, especially during the 1st of Syawal.

Unlike normal days, roads in some areas as well as business premises in the country were quiet without the presence of visitors. Some shops even close on the first of Syawal as a show of respect for the holy month, apart from giving their staff the opportunity to celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri with their families.
