His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhu​m Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah emphasises the friendship of Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Indonesia is a sacred friendship between two friends of the same religion, both experiencing the blessings of Allah and also protecting it from being disturbed by any unwanted elements. His Majesty made the titah during the State Banquet in honour the State Visit of His Excellency Prabowo Subianto, the President of the Republic of Indonesia and delegation. His Majesty welcomed His Excellency at the grounds of Istana Nurul Iman. Earlier, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office proceeded together with the President of the Republic of Indonesia from The Empire Brunei to Istana Nurul Iman.

Upon arrival, His Excellency was greeted with the waving of both countries' miniature flags by students and teachers from several government and private schools.

His Majesty together with His Excellency proceeded to the Special Dais to receive the Salute of Honour, accompanied with the national anthems and a twenty-one gun salute. The two leaders then inspected the Guard of Honour mounted by members of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

His Excellency was then introduced to members of the Royal Family; Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran-pengiran Cheteria; Cabinet Ministers; Members of the Privy Council; Deputy Ministers; Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces; the Acting Commissioner of Police of the Royal Brunei Police Force; Foreign Envoys; Members of the Legislative Council; and Permanent Secretaries from the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His Majesty was then introduced to the official delegation of His Excellency.

Following the State Welcoming Ceremony, His Majesty received in audience His Excellency at Cheradi Laila Kenchana. Present at the Audience Ceremony were members of the Royal Family. Also present were the delegation of the Republic of Indonesia; and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs, as the Minister-in-Attendance.

This was followed by the Conferment of the 'Darjah Kerabat Laila Utama Yang Amat Dihormati', DK. His Majesty conferred the 'Darjah Kerabat Laila Utama Yang Amat Dihormati', DK to His Excellency, which carries the title of 'Dato Laila Utama.'
