After Austin McBroom confirmed he had cheated on his now-ex Catherine Paiz, with whom he shared the ACE Family YouTube channel, Catherine weighed in on his infidelity for the first time.
Catherine Paiz is speaking her truth.
Over one year after the YouTuber announced that she and Austin McBroom had filed for divorce, she reacted to him confirming that he had cheated on her during their nearly seven-year marriage.
"I know three for sure," Catherine said on the May 28 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, of the number of women he cheated with. "They're out there in the world acting like that never happened, probably."
Austin confirmed his infidelity in a string of May 12 Snapchat Stories where he also claimed that his now-ex had condoned his cheating—accusations the 34-year-old vehemently denied.
"One thing he said that really just was a punch to the gut was, 'Yes, I cheated and she was OK with it as long as I said you don't embarrass me,'" Catherine—who shares kids Elle, 8, Alaia, 5, and Steel, 4, with Austin—explained to Alex Cooper. "That is not true. I never ever said that. I would never say that."
"I would never want my kids to think that it's OK to cheat on your husband or your wife," she continued in her tearful reflection. "I will make sure to raise them so that they know that they should never ever do that because that is so wrong. You never cheat on the person you love. I would never in a million years say that."
E! News has reached out to Austin for comment and has not yet heard back.
Catherine—who is now dating Igor Ten—recalled learning of Austin's alleged infidelity while they were getting Alaia's first haircut. After her phone died, she said she grabbed his to capture the milestone as fans watched on the sidelines and Austin recorded for an ACE Family vlog.
"I had never looked in his phone ever," Catherine, who was three months pregnant with their son, said. "As soon as I grabbed the phone, like out of a movie, this long text comes through like 'If you really love your wife, you wouldn't be…'"
"In that moment, my heart drops," she said. "I'm pregnant. There are people watching us. The camera's on. It felt surreal. He grabs the phone from me and instantly deletes the message. I thought, 'Oh my gosh, it's true.'"
She said that she confronted Austin, 33, in the car, telling to him that she had seen the text message.
"I saw enough to know instantly that this is an emotional relationship he's having with somebody," she explained. "This is a woman that is having a relationship with my husband."
Catherine said that she decided to forgive Austin after he admitted to cheating since she was pregnant. Looking back, the influencer believes that her ex's admissions "never felt apologetic."
But she noted that when he finally admitted to cheating in his recent videos ahead of the release of her upcoming memoir, Dolores: My Journey Home, she felt a sense of relief.
"Even through our divorce, even through everything, I never heard him say the words 'I cheated' until a week ago," she explained to Alex. "When I heard the words, I was like, 'Oh my god, finally. I heard that. Thank you so much. That was all I was waiting for.'"
She emphasized, "Finally hearing those words was so healing for me because it's like I wasn't going crazy."
