Awang Muhammad Ishqal Ezairy @ Abdul Mateen bin Mohammad Shahruni and Dayang Nur'aliyah Amani binti Muhammad Al-Ameen from the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Al-Qur'an Tahfiz Institute won the Final of the 39th National Al-Qur'an Reading Competition for Secondary Schools and Colleges held at Dewan Kuliah, Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas, 26th June afternoon.

Prizes were presented Awang Julaihi bin Mohamad, Director Of Co-Curricular Education. The competition aimed to produce an Al-Qur'an literate generation as well as to produce more Qari and Qariah among secondary schools and colleges in the country. It was organised by the Spiritual Activities Division, Co-Curricular Education Department, Ministry of Education.
