U.S. Embassy Briefs Media on the Upcoming 2017 U.S. Higher Education Fair

The U.S. Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan and EducationUSA will host its fourth U.S. Higher Education Fair on February 8 at the Songket Hall of the Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong, and on February 9 at Sekolah Menengah Sayyidina Ali (SMSA) in Kuala Belait.
The U.S. Higher Education Fair will include representatives from 14 U.S. colleges and universities with diverse educational programs at the undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate levels. Participating institutions will include: the Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Central Washington University, Miami University, Wabash College, University of Massachusetts, University of Hawaii at Manoa, Savannah College of Art and Design, Western Michigan University, University of Northern Iowa, Temple University, American University, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Creighton University, and LIM College (Fashion and Business School).
The briefing was conducted by the Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy, Catherine Muller, and the Embassy's EducationUSA Advisor, Mayra Robles.
PAO Catherine Muller stated, "The U.S. Higher Education Fair is a great opportunity for prospective students and their parents to learn more about pursuing an education in the United States. We would like to thank the Ministry of Education for their support of this annual event, especially the Accreditation Unit, Scholarship Division, and Higher Education Division who will also take part in the Fair.

The U.S. Embassy hosts this event in cooperation with EducationUSA, a U.S. Department
of State-supported network of hundreds of advising centers around the world. Each year, E ,11C EducationUSA advisers provide millions of international students with accurate,
comprehensive, and current information about how to apply to U.S. colleges and
universities. EducationUSA staff also work with U.S. higher education professionals to
promote international student recruitment.
