BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

The Bandar Magistrate's Court yesterday pushed the sentencing of a 40-year-old uniformed personnel who pleaded guilty to having unlawful carnal knowledge of his teenaged step-daughter and step-niece to February 4.

Magistrate Dewi Norlelawati binti Haji Abdul Hamid was told by DPP Nurjauinah binti Haji Kula that the defendant, whose name is undisclosed, committed the offences on the 16-year-old victims at his house in Berakas Camp on two occasions in 2013 and 2014.

The defendant is currently married in 2012 and has a child together with his wife.

His wife has a daughter from her previous marriage, who is the other victim. She lives with the defendant ever since the marriage of her mother. The other victim, who is the defendant's step-niece, regularly stayed over at the house.
