Bandar Seri Begawan

Islam emphasises on prioritising in looking after and loving those who are in need especially people with exceptional abilities. Lending a helping hand in their daily work can ease them and is greatly rewarded by Allah Subhanahu Wataala. These were among the contents of a Tazkirah or short religious talk during the "Masjidku Makmur, Negara Berkat" or "My Prosperous Mosque, Blessed Nation" Programme at the Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque yesterday.

The programme began with a mass subuh prayer. Joining the congregants were Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs and his Deputy, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud. The short talk entitled 'Menyantuni Orang Kurang Upaya' or Respecting people with exceptional abilities was delivered by Doctor Haji Noralizam bin Haji Aliakbar, Lecturer from the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB. He said, parents and guardians should be fair in taking care of the rights of the special needs children and give them undivided love without any discrimination. They are a gift and blessings from Allah Subhanahu Wataala to test one's faith. The programme aimed to encourage more people to join the congregants in glorifying the mosque and in together performing the mass Fardhu Subuh Prayer in together enlivening the Bandarku Ceria programme.
