A repeat offender pleaded guilty yesterday to yet another theft and will be sentenced on March 28.

The prosecutor informed Magistrate Azrimah Abdul Rahman that forty-five-year-old Haji Jafri bin Haji Mohammad, holds a long list of previous theft convictions.

Haji Jafri stole four cans of Ayam Brand Sardines and four cans of Rex Cuttlefish from Koperasi shop in Kampong Perpindahan Mata-Mata at 2.10pm on March 23.

Haji Jafri stated that he committed the offence because he had no money and is unemployed.

The prosecutor also informed the court that a shop attendant was looking at the CCTV footage and caught the defendant putting the canned goods into his bag and left without paying.
