The Karnival Kembara Islam or Islamic Adventure Carnival 1438 Hijrah is taking place at Hua Ho Manggis Ballroom.  It is organised by the Brunei-Muara District Office with the cooperation of Battle Pro Marketing and Management Services in conjunction with the Isra' Mi'raj celebration and as a way of upholding the titah of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to transform the country into a Zikir Nation. The Islamic carnival was launched yesterday by Yang Berhormat Awang Iswandy bin Awang Ahmad, Member of the Legislative Council.

The carnival focused on competitions such as reading Surah Al-Fatihah, Da'wah or Religious Propagation for youth between the ages of 15 and 35 as well as Azan or Prayer Call contest for children aged 12 years old and below. Young entrepreneurs participated in the carnival by selling their own products or brands as their contribution to the country's socio-economic growth.  Besides that, the Biggest Textiles Auction Festival was also held to enable the public to buy quality textiles at affordable prices.  The carnival is opened to the public until Sunday between ten in the morning and ten in the evening.
