Ramadhan Does Not Hinder School Activities

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

Pre-schoolers also show that the fasting month of Ramadhan does not lessen their capacity to participate actively in school activities.  Their learning session includes the reading of Surah Yasin and the Tahlil.

Befitting their tender age, the pre-schoolers behave in diverse ways.  But on top of that, the ability of some youngsters to fast is highly commendable.  Fasting and learning in high spirits, that is them.  The Ministry of Education has set that pre-school pupils also attend school during Ramadhan.  However, their schedule is more relaxed and lenient.  The real consideration lies with their own schools, and the Head teachers decide the learning period and activities of their schools. The school attendance during Ramadhan is emphasised upon the pupils, with intent to ensure their learning process continues normally.  It is very important especially for Year 6 pupils who will sit for their Primary School Assessment, the PSR this year.
