MUARA, BRUNEI-MUARA

More than 100 participants from St George's School (SGS) and the Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB) Indian Association conducted a cleaning campaign at Muara Beach recently in coordination with the Department of Environment, Parks and Recreation (JASTRe).

A total of 85 bags of plastics, bottles and other rubbish that were scattered around the beach were collected. The rubbish weighed more than 850 kg, according to a press release.

The Principal of St George's School Janidi Jinggan and the President of BSB Indian Association Dr Sundrapandi thanked the event coordinators and all the participants for doing a wonderful job.

This event was initiated to kindle awareness among the students and the general public on the need to help keep the environment clean and tidy so that our beautiful planet could be kept pollution free.
