Women's Triple Lawn Bowling Match

KUALA LUMPUR

 

 

 

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, the President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council watched the women's triple lawn bowling match in the Padang Kebangsaan Lawn Bowling Centre in Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

3 experienced athletes, Hajah Ajijah binti Muntol, Suhana Mohd Daud, and Norafizah binti Matossen resumed their challenge against Thailand comprising of Thong Oomen, Orawan Sodok and Kesanee Wongsasopa. In the early part of the game, the national squad led the game but was soon left behind as their opponents picked up the pace, and the game ended with Brunei 10, Thailand 15. However, Brunei squad still earned the bronze medal with the overall result 15 -11.  Medals were presented by Dato Sri Shahidan bin Kassim, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, Malaysia. The gold and silver medal went to Malaysia and the Philippines respectively.
