LAMBAK KANAN, BRUNEI-MUARA

The Department of Co-Curriculum Education, through the Physical Unit, conducted the closing ceremony of the four-day Table Tennis Refereeing Course attended by some 30 participants comprising teachers from various educational institutions from the primary level, secondary level and the higher education at the multipurpose hall of the Lambak Kanan Primary School Jalan 10.

Present as guest of honor was Awang Roslin bin Suhailee, Acting Assistant Director of Co-Curriculum Education, who then presented the certificates to the participants. Also present during the event were the senior officials and officers from the Department of Co-Curriculum Education and participating teachers.

The closing ceremony of the course also saw table tennis tournaments among the participants of the course prior to the presentation of the certificates.

The course, facilitated by Janey Koh Yen Yen and Lim Han, was supported by Anthony Liew Vun Voon, a coach from the Brunei Table Tennis Association and Awang Ali Rahman bin Haji Murni.

The course is designed towards educating table tennis managers and coaches as well as physical education teachers on table tennis rules set by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). It also aims towards providing opportunities to the participants to become referees for the table tennis tournaments organised by the Ministry of Education (MoE) as well as for the Primary School Sports Festival which will be held in November.
