Issue On The Use Of Allocation Under A Program To Boost Vegetable Output

Provision on facilities for earth science laboratory and new trend plants are included in the basic infrastructure allocation for farms. Apart from that, a program to obtain an ISO 17025 Recognition for Plant Protection Laboratory is also included in the basic infrastructure development. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism shared the matter in response to a query on the use of allocations given under a Program to Boost Vegetable Output using high technology and a Livestock Industry Development Plan.

 

Touching on the livestock sector, one of the projects that will be carried out from the discussed price allocation of 27 million is firstly to implement the Research Centre Program, introduction and allocation for livestock diseases at the Brunei Agriculture Research Centre in Kilanas. It will also include to further improve the capability of the existing center in providing effective services to assist livestock farmers to be more competitive such as the provisions of structure and basic infrastructure complex plan, construction of research center building, analysis and allocation as well as equipment's required. Secondly, the implementation of a program to declare the free-diseases status towards facilitating export for livestock industry, enhancing capability towards the role of becoming a competent authority in providing a consultation and specialist services towards implementing active surveillance, detecting Salmonella project and detecting veterinary vulnerable innovative medicine.
