A total one hundred, thirteen thousand and nine hundred thirty three dollars ($113,933) have been raised for the Brunei Darussalam Mosque Construction Fund through contributions using the SMS platform between the 6th of December 2017 and 19th January this year.  Up to December last year, the Fund had collected seven million, five hundred three thousand, nine hundred sixty five dollars and twenty seven cents through various mechanisms.   The SMS donations were handed over during a ceremony the Ministry of Religious Affairs Annexe in Jalan Dewan Majlis yesterday afternoon.

 The contributions were received by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs as the Chairman of the Collection and Expenditure Committee of the Brunei Darussalam Mosque Construction Fund. Dayang Ramlah binti Rabaha, the Assistant General Manager of the Energy Resource Unit of DST Communications as the representative of the company's Chief Executive Officer handed over donations totalling one hundred thousand and three hundred fifty two dollars ($100,352).   Meanwhile thirteen thousand and five hundred, eighty one dollar ($13,581) were presented by Dayang Nurul Haniah binti Haji Jaafar, the Chief Administrative Officer of Progresif Cellular Sdn Berhad as the representative of the company's Chief Executive Officer.  DST Communications also presented a donation of ten thousand dollars to the Brunei Darussalam Mosque Construction Fund.

 The ceremony continued with the launch of the fund's website link by the Minister of Religious Affairs.  Also present were Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry  of Religious Affairs, Awang Roslan bin Haji Taja'ah, the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administration and Finance) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Doctor Haji Adanan bin Haji Basar, the Acting Ra'es of Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College.   For further information on the website visit, www.kheu.gov.bn.
