50 prestigious Australia Awards-ASEAN Scholarship offered to citizens of ASEAN countries, including five Bruneians, to undertake postgraduate in Masters-level study in Australia starting  next year is an initiative of the recent ASEAN-Australia Special Summit. In an interview with RTB, Her Excellency Nicola Rosenblum, the Australian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam said the scholarships build on and strengthen Australia's ties with ASEAN countries by offering fifty emerging leaders an opportunity to study at one of Australia's world-class educational institutions. Applications for the prestigious Scholarships close on 30th of this month.

 Her Excellency said Australia and Brunei Darussalam share a close bond, embedded in the people-to-people links. She added education has played a major role in developing close bond between the two countries and through the scholarships, the links between two countries will be further strengthen.
